MI Windows and Doors: 1620 Vinyl Single-Hung Window

Available with Operable Archtop Configurations

Dual-pane Glass, Beveled Sashes & Heavy-duty Weatherstripping Provide

The 1620 Vinyl Single-Hung window from MI Windows & Doors is the first window in the company’s popular 1600 Series to offer operable archtop configurations. This stylish window combines handcrafted quality and long-term performance attributes such as heavy-duty weatherstripping and metal-reinforced meeting rails to ensure superior strength and durability.

Coupled with an aesthetically pleasing beveled exterior profile, tilt-in sashes, and mortised recessed locks, the 1620 Vinyl Single-Hung window is an ideal product for trendy renovations and new construction projects alike.

“The 1620 makes a compelling statement no matter the application,” said Tony Matter, MI’s marketing director. “Energy-efficiency, safety, and style are integral to its design. We’ve ensured this through a variety of performance enhancements that make this window a great choice for any project type, in any climate.”

Available with a DP-50 option to enhance performance in coastal areas, the 1620’s insulated dualpane glass packages meet ENERGY STAR® requirements in North-Central, South-Central, and Southern climate zones. The 1620 is available with tempered glass, which is four times stronger than non-tempered glass.

Spring-loaded night latches keep the window secure even when partially opened to provide added ventilation without sacrificing safety and security, while dual-opposing locks create a stronger, safer seal.

Additional features include:

• True sloping sill optimizes water drainage and eliminates unsightly weep holes

• Warm-edge spacer system for maximizing energy efficiency and improving seal performance

• Inverted-coil balances provide smoother operation at lower operating forces

• Multiple grid types, sizes, and patterns in white, almond, and clay color options

• Optional Window Operating Control Device (WOCD) for restricting sash openings and reducing the risk of accidental falls
